  11. I am currently planning to buy a gfx-card. My monitor (a Compaq 151FS) is
  12. capable of at least 1280*1024, so this should present no problem. I want
  13. to choose between

  15. - Picasso II 
  16. - GVP Spectrum
  17. - Cybervision 64

  19. The host machine would be an A4000/030 with KS 3.0 and 2 Mb chip, 8 Mb fast.
  20. The prices of these cards are pretty similar, so a logical option would be
  21. the CV64 because of its speed. However, I am a little concerned with software
  22. compatibility. You can promote a lot, but I have seen some utilities on the
  23. Aminet which say (for example) `Picasso only'. Is this really `Picasso only',
  24. or will it run on other boards as well?

  26. Also, I know the EGS system is bulky and slow compared with CyberGraphX, but
  27. here too are some nice utils which I definitely would like to have. Can you
  28. run EGS on a CV64? (You can run EGS on the Picasso and the Spectrum.)

  30. Can I expect problems with my 3.0 Kickstart? Should I upgrade to 3.1?

  32. Last question: I am also intending to buy either a Warp Engine or a Cyberstorm
  33. turbocard. Is there a combination of gfx and CPU boards which does not work?
